Welcome

Welcome to Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

Founded in 1898 with the purpose of promoting sociability and the best and truest fraternal spirit, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is the oldest and largest secret fraternal society in music in the world. Banded together by our common goal of building men of the highest type, Sinfonians across the country seek to win the world to Harmony through its noble object:

The Object of this Fraternity shall be for the development of the best and truest fraternal spirit; the mutual welfare and brotherhood of musical students; the advancement of music in America and a loyalty to the Alma Mater.

The Theta Rho chapter here at the University of Memphis holds this object near and dear to our hearts. With members from all majors and backgrounds, Theta Rho strives to advance the best in music and brotherhood within our school. Rechartered on April 17, 2010, Theta Rho has since crossed nearly 100 brothers, including Undergraduates, Faculty, and numerous patrons of music.
